Samen genieten en verbinden<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meer dan 140 inwoners van Batenburg kwamen zaterdag 24 mei samen voor het Stadsontbijt: een sfeervolle en verbindende bijeenkomst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ondanks een grijs wolkendek bleef het droog, en gaf burgemeester Renske Helmer-Englebert van de gemeente Wijchen het offici\u00eble startsein voor het evenement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In de Hoppenhofstraat, nabij het Hertenkamp, stonden lange tafels uitgestald voor een gezamenlijke ontbijt. De bezoeker konden genieten, van diverse broodjes met een sapje, kopje koffie, thee of een glas melk. Daarnaast waren er gekookte eitjes en was er fruit. \u201cEen prachtig voorbeeld van hoe eten mensen samenbrengt,\u201d sprak de burgemeester in haar welkomstwoord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ook aan de jongste deelnemers was gedacht. Kinderen kleurden enthousiast kleurplaten met afbeeldingen van het Hertenkamp en de karakteristieke huisjes van het stadje. Ondertussen raakten ouders, buren en nieuwkomers met elkaar in gesprek, onder het genot van een krentenbol en goed gezelschap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daarnaast zijn we tijdens het Stadsontbijt langs geweest voor een vrijwillige bijdrage welke wij hebben geschonken aan het Hertenkamp met een bedrag van \u20ac 607,65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
